Fuel Price Increase tonight . Rumor or Fact

Talking to a neighbor and said they heard fuel prices may jump up tonight, due to some kind of line problem somewhere.
Anyone else here this.
I hadn't but my neighbor is retired and usually pays attention to things like this.
I thought right at $3.00 a gallon, we had peaked till the first major hurricane, so we can be gouged a little more.

Ive heard the same thing as well. Due to the stoppage of the pipelines in Alaska. They will go up, whether its tonight, I dont know.

The closing of the BP pipeline due to corrosion and leakage will shut down 8% of America's oil production and gas prices are expected to rise $0.05 per gallon the next couple of days.

Oil & gas futures rose when this was announced. Oil is already at $77 per barrel.

They have no timeline on when it may open or if things will go smoothly when/if it's reopened.

The news said the largest field in the US is being shut down, and made it sould like it would be for several months.

These oil companys have us brain washed. This is another gimmik to raise gas prices up to $3.00+ a gallon for a couple weeks and then drop it to $2.79 to make everybody think they are getting a deal.

We're getting hosed again. No doubt about that. The oil companies are making record profits and the rest of us struggle because of their greed.
